No, the images on these pages are not distorted. No, the images on these pages are not aligned. Where is the bug? Nowhere.
No, the images on these pages are not distorted. No, the images on these pages are not aligned. Where is the bug? Nowhere. This season, the mood screams imperfection, distortion, error and, why not assume it, a certain dysmorphia. Like Francis Bacon, a misunderstood genius, he preferred to focus his energies on sharing totally deformed portraits with the world, in order to show the trapped and tormented souls and the existential dilemmas behind the human figures he painted, many designers preferred to drink inspiration on this most vulnerable, and sensitive, side of the industry. To prove it we have the collections of Emilia Wickstead, Chalayan or Balmain: an endless number of silhouettes that seem impossible, but that we will want to repeat over and over again. Perfection? That’s so last season.
