Who says presents have to be put away until midnight on December 24? Christmas is when we want it to be – and as long as there are Beauty products involved, it can be every day. We have unwrapped the paper, put away the velvet bows, and, with a childish smile, went to find out what ended up in Vogue Portugal's stockings.

Promises: torestore dry and damaged hair, deeply nourish and control frizz. Vogue’s word: these rainy months are fatal to any type of hair. There isn't a day I don't leave the house frustrated that I can't control the thousands of flyaways that hover inches from my scalp. That was my main concern when I started using Gisou's oil (which I had seen over and over again on Instagram and TikTok, advertised by users promising it to be miraculous). My problem with hair oils is that they easily make me look like I'm fresh out of a frying pan, but that wasn't a problem with Gisou's product. With two drops, the hair feels silky without looking the least bit greasy. As for the frizz, it is still too wild to be controlled 100%.

Promises: to help reduce imperfections and signs of aging. Vogue's word: I don't say this often enough, but the promises of this product fall short of its performance. There is so much more that Skinceuticals' Blemish + Age Defense serum can do. In my case, it became my holy grail in acne blemish prevention. All it took was regular use over a week to start seeing clear differences in the evenness of my complexion. I can't vouch for its effectiveness in minimizing the signs of aging yet, but if it works as well as it does in fighting acne, I can say that this serum will stay in my routine for many, many years to come.

Promises: to create voluminous curls, dry and straighten hair quickly, reduce frizz. Vogue's word: after months and months of "drooling" every time I read reviews about this product, I finally got my hands on the very heavy Airwrap Complete Long box. The expectation was enormous, but in this case there was no margin for error. For calendar reasons I have only been able to explore two of its functions, namely the dryer and the curl styler, and it was precisely the latter that surprised me the most. All my previous experiences with similar tools had disastrous results - much due to my chronic clumsiness, truth be told - so this is the first time that my "loose and light" waves don't feel like an accident. Extra bonus for the smart temperature control, which prevents damage from extreme heat - a problem for those like me with rebellious hair.

Promises: to firm and brighten the skin, as well as defend it from pollution. Vogue’s word: the fame of Drunk Elephant's vitamin C serum precedes it - it is known all over the Internet, particularly on platforms like TikTok. I completely understand the hype, with only a few days of use, I notice that my skin tone is noticeably more even. With the arrival of the cold season, my skin tends to lose some of its radiance and liveliness, but the famous serum fixed this propensity almost immediately. This is my first time using vitamin C, having already been warned of its harmful potential for sensitive skin. But with a good moisturizer and caution in the amount applied, I think I've found a new staple in my skincare routine. I'm excited to see how my skin interacts with the product with continued use, since, according to the experts, that's when you start to feel the true effect of vitamin C.
