When night falls in the city – or in the countryside – it is best to equip yourself with talismans. From tarot cards to amulets and religious iconography, everything is valid to guard against any superstition, persona non grata from the other world, spirits that have more issues than Vogue and other unknown hauntings that you never know when they might manifest. A chant here, a ritual there, an extra séance and a Ouija board game with a wardrobe worthy of The Ring, and the plan is laid out for a lucky night by candlelight. Or unlucky.
