While preparing to release her new album, This Is Me... Now, Jennifer Lopez turned to other forms of art: in particular, the art of lingerie. Forged from Italian craftsmanship and signed together with Intimissimi, the collection aims to capture the essence of the feminine power, with the sensuality and elegance associated with the iconic American singer.
"I'm still Jenny from the block", sang Jennifer Lopez in 2002, after releasing her third album This Is Me... Then. More than 20 years later, the American artist may still be Jenny from the block. However, her drive and inner strength give her a new confidence, a profound transformation based on the manifestation of her femininity. These are the themes that will appear on This Is Me... Now, the album that Jennifer Lopez promises to release in 2024. But her artistic expression doesn't end there. In collaboration with Intimissimi, the singer has channeled the teachings of her journey of self-discovery into a lingerie collection, in which the craftsmanship of the Italian label expands to embrace Jennifer Lopez's iconic style - which, in itself, is already a form of art.
This Is Me... Now is the second chapter in the partnership between Jennifer Lopez and Intimissimi. The iconic artist had been the face of this year's spring/summer campaign, as the brand's global ambassador. However, the lingerie collection for the cold season goes one step further, incorporating Lopez's personality into the smallest details that make up the models presented - such as the hummingbird. A symbol of luck and resilience, it is a special bird for the singer, as it sums up the essence of her personal evolution. As Jennifer Lopez confesses, "lingerie is deeply intimate - it's an embrace that allows you to feel free and beautiful", and this can be felt in the precious embroidered details, forged in materials of the highest quality, such as sophisticated silks and luxurious lace. Elegance is also conveyed by the color palette selected: a timeless trio of black, champagne, and jade green. While the first two shades are the epitome of grace and refinement, it is the green that best captures Lopez's personality. As the boldest color in the collection, it is an expression of the individuality of someone who is not afraid to be seen.
As awaited, the campaign presenting this new collection stars the American artist. But with this collaboration emerges a unique detail in the history of Intimissimi: Jennifer Lopez's album, This Is Me... Now, is present in this immersive experience. Under the creative direction of Riccardo Ruini, and directed by Francesco Carrozzini, the singer and the Italian brand come together in a multi-sensory narrative that combines the power of fashion and music in a tribute to femininity. The most striking videos in the campaign are especially intimate for Lopez, as they show the most vulnerable process of her art: the creation. Whether she is writing a new song or designing a piece of lingerie, the artist opens the door to the discovery of her creativity and the authenticity she exposes at every step of the process. Jennifer Lopez's connection with her lingerie is also notorious. For the singer, as for Intimissimi, these are the most powerful pieces a woman can own, as they express her strength, her confidence and, above all, the power of intimacy. There is also a short video looking at the beauty of the craftsmanship that is at the heart of Intimissimi's values. In it, Lopez shares her inspiration for creating proudly feminine designs and how the Italian brand's artisanal expertise was essential in bringing that vision to life. In the singer's words, "American creativity meets Italian design with the passion to create something truly unique." It's a new chapter for Jennifer Lopez and Intimissimi: this is them... now.
