Estranha forma de vida

“Que estranha forma de vida, tem este nosso coração, vivemos de forma perdida, quem nos daria o condão?” A música intemporal de Amália fazia tanto sentido nos anos 60 como faz agora. Tentámos materializar em imagens um conceito que só se pode sentir. A disformidade da forma é o que tentamos transmitir através desta tendência. Uma analogia sobre a maneira disforme como vivemos a vida e como encaramos e respeitamos o ambiente e as pessoas que nos rodeiam.

Initiation Annihilation 

Olá, mundo. O ano é 2050. Iniciou-se o começo do fim e, por isso, acabámos. Acabámos porque como tudo o que nasce morre. Acabámos, porém, com um despropósito propositado. A fome insaciável de desejo e ambição, egoísta e arrogante, trouxe-nos onde estamos hoje, no fim de uma era. Esta gravação é a última que fazemos enquanto raça humana. Esta é a roupa que usamos antes do adeus. Talvez tudo seja melhor sem nós. Agora tomam conta do mundo agora outras criaturas, criadas por nós, capazes de tolerar o planeta doente que lhes deixámos. Esperemos que não cometam os mesmo erros que nós.

The grass was greener

Tudo já foi mais saudável, os mares e os rios já fora menos poluídos, os solos já foram mais férteis e o planeta já foi mais verde. Noutro tempo, noutra era, o mundo foi mais saudável, mais feliz, mais natural. Olhamos para trás com nostalgia, para o tempo em que “sustentabilidade” era uma palavra desconhecida, quando o futuro parecia assegurado. Sabemos que não é assim, por isso tentámos honrar a Terra, com a cor da esperança, e fazemos figas para que tudo volte a ser como dantes.

Strange way of life

"What a strange way of life, has this heart of ours, we live in a lost way, who would give us the blessing?" Amália's timeless music made as much sense in the 60s as it does now. We tried to materialize in images a concept that can only be felt. Disformity of form is what we tried to convey through this trend. An analogy about the shapeless way we live life and how we face and respect the environment and the people around us.

Initiation Annihilation 

Hello world. The year is 2050. The beginning of the end has started and so we are done. We are done because like everything that is born, it dies. We are done, however, with a purposeful nonsense. The insatiable hunger for desire and ambition, selfish and arrogant, has brought us to where we are today, at the end of an era. This recording is the last we make as a human race. These are the clothes we wear before we say goodbye. Maybe everything is better without us. Now, other creatures, created by us, take over the world, capable of tolerating the sick planet we left them. Hopefully they don't make the same mistakes we did.

The grass was greener

Everything has already been healthier, the seas and rivers were once less polluted, the soils were once more fertile and the planet was already greener. In another time, in another age, the world was healthier, happier, more natural. We look back with nostalgia to the time when “sustainability” was an unknown word, when the future seemed assured. We know it's not like that. That's why we honor the earth, with the color of hope, and we cross our fingers hoping that everything goes back to the way it used to be.
