“Calm seas don’t make sailors”, says the EP title from the band The End of the Ocean. But they sure provide great sceneries for editorials pulling from autumn’s serenity, when fall has the sea as a background. They also make for really good sets of slow living painted in shades of blue and in so many other tones that forecast rain, demanding blankets and overcoats in landscapes of calm and contemplation. And they’re amazing backdrops for a season that though might not call for sunny beaches, will always ask for the sea and its deep blue. You probably won’t find a single sailor in here, but a full wardrobe for next season, that’s a given.
