Ask the natives of Ogimi, Okinawa (Japan), whose ikigai, a Japanese term that translates freely into this sense of community and sharing, has created conditions for happiness to be synonymous with longevity. At least that is what the rumor says is its secret. Except that it is no secret that full life in society with this heightened sense of community, could only manifest itself in a longer life.
