Celebrating birthdays is a state of mind, not a manifesto of wealth.
Celebrating birthdays is a state of mind, not a manifesto of wealth.

Celebrating doesn't require an extensive guest list. Celebrating doesn't require a stage bigger than the living room back home. Celebrating doesn't require champagne and caviar or a mirror ball. Rather, let's have the spaghetti bolognese, the candles stored in the drawer, a homemade cake with whipped cream lavishly decorated, and two or three close friends. Celebrating birthdays is a state of mind, not a manifesto of wealth. Save on the number of guests and the sumptuous menu, save on the light and the lavish table, but don't save on the fancy closet. Look for the timeless and special vintage pieces that resist in the closet, and blow out the candles of 20 years of always learning, with much desire for the decades to come. And everything is watered down with good conversation, which does not pay tax.
