…than badly idolized. In this museum that I call home, I don't live in solitude.
I live with the paintings and sculptures that I admire and venerate, as if they were best friends. In this house that looks like a museum, I live with art in every corner and the rarity of each piece, a rarity repeated not only on the walls, but in the company, which appears in scarcity. I live in a never-ending pose, in an ephemeral popularity, dressed in a wardrobe that is an authentic parade of creativity and that is admired in silence, blending in with the opulence of the pieces that multiply throughout every room and that disdain the banal in favor of sumptuousness. In this home that others call a house-museum, I too am a masterpiece. To be admired and venerated and idolized and then protected under a dome, left alone when the lights go out and the refuge I call home closes its doors to the public. Away from the looks, the touch and the constant flattery.
