The verb is purposefully misconjugated, perhaps in an attempt to establish a difference between the essence of myself and what is shown to others. How often do we behave according to society and not ourselves? How often do we assume a costume that isn’t our own to respond to someone else’s expectations? How often do we submit ourselves to the whims of “others” without ever hearing our truth and ourselves? And when will we finally see it in the mirror - myself and not another? The twins Margo and Madelyn Whitley try to answer in the following pages.
