When society looks down on off-calendar celebrations, it’s not worth showing it your middle finger, rather a hand suited in sequin, feathers around your neck, a tulle gown from head to toe. When social rules seem to dictate what you should and shouldn’t do based on your age, squint your glitter-filled eyes and practice turning your back on it – bare, thanks to that sequin cladded maxi dress. When the minds close themselves off with arguments of too old, let us open our wardrobes to color, glitter, taffeta, lurex, and faux fur. Because, just like in beauty, celebrations are ageless.
