If green reflects both a feeling of envy and hope, what is the meaning of a green eye shadow? And will a red lipstick always be a symbol of power? Forget everything you've learned about color theory. This fall/winter, beauty trends have broken the rules of the color palette.
Dark lips, pale face
Often associated with the gothic style, black lips are entering the mainstream make-up culture, thanks to the presentations for the cold season by Rodarte, Bora Aksu and Mark Fast. Their mysterious air remains. However, there is a certain elegance that begins to characterize the choice of this dark shade. As they say: everything looks better in black.
Winter pastels
Anyone who believes that pastel shades should remain forgotten in spring closets has yet to see the autumn fashion shows by Carolina Herrera and Diesel. As a rule, these hues are applied to the eye area, in the form of blurred shadows or graphic eyeliner. However, you can play with the same shades to sculpt the contours of the face. It's a return to childhood, with canvas and brush.
Red is back
In fact, it was never "out" of the make-up trends. It was just stuck to the dogma that this scarlet hue belongs on the lips. And yes, it does, but not exclusively. This autumn/winter, David Koma revolutionized the classic red lips, while Imane Ayissi and Yuima Nakazato Haute Couture used the same color to create a bold eye look.
