The day the prophets Hizir and Ilyas met on Earth thus names a festival that is celebrated in Turkey and elsewhere in the Middle East, such as Syria. And among the various rituals and ceremonies that multiply throughout the regions, in this commemoration that aims to mark the arrival of spring, one of the forms of homage is to play melodies, dance and sing until dawn.
