The capri comeback

They first appeared in the 1950s and made a glorious comeback in the 2000s, when everything seemed beautiful and cool. Now they're back, neither too short nor too long, in materials that favor comfort, as if they were a kind of sophisticated leggings. Controversial and unforgettable, here they are: capri pants.

The link between fashion and sport is lost in time, but it's easy to define two moments that marked it indelibly: the 1980s, when the aerobics video market exploded (hello Jane Fonda!) and the recent pandemic, which made athleisure the official uniform of thousands of citizens around the world. Now "sportswear" is worn from morning to night, on any occasion.
