Because there is little more hedonistic than a group of intelligent women debating topics as diverse as Beauty and gender inequality, as well as politics and Fashion, in a passionate way. This Vogue Pyjama Party could have been fun. But it could also have been the kickstart to saving the world, who knows?
Because there is little more hedonistic than a group of intelligent women debating topics as diverse as Beauty and gender inequality, as well as politics and Fashion, in a passionate way. This Vogue Pyjama Party could have been fun. But it could also have been the kickstart to saving the world, who knows?

The formula had already been tested and proven before - both by Vogue and by women of different age groups all over the world: a cohesive group of friends, a scenario that defined the ideal mood for a #voguepyjamaparty and a self-care department - because there is no pleasure without self-love - signed by Natura Bissé, and success would be guaranteed. No sooner said than done. Vogue studied the physics and chemistry of this science which is “how to create a memorable sleepover?” to then exceed expectations by raising this triptych location-guests-skincare to levels that went above and beyond - and they were quite high. First of all, it recruited a guest list of revered bffs: Ana Sofia Martins, Nayma Mingas, Raquel Strada, Sílvia Rizzo and Sónia Balacó joined Sofia Lucas, editor in chief of Vogue, and Sara Andrade, New Projects Director at Lighthouse Publishing, for a night that quickly turned into day (time really does fly when you're having fun). And this speed of time well spent is also due to the stage chosen for the event: the swimming pool at the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade served as a therapeutic plus one for a private table that sat next to it for a dinner washed down with, more than wine and signature cocktails from the hotel bar, good conversation and relevant topics. In that April evening that felt more like June, the plurality, creativity and eloquence of these magnificent seven was proven, jumping from subject to subject with such naturalness and logic that it even seemed that someone had written the script. Interestingly, despite the CV in acting of most of the cast, the dialogue would always be all improvised. Was there beauty? There was. Was there gourmet and top gastronomy? There was, in all dishes. Was there gossip? There was. Was there Fashion? Also - but never in a frivolous way, always with a constructive approach to the industry and its pawns. There was, above all, a strong incursion into the state of the nation and current affairs, from fait divers like literature and series, to headliners like political parties and freedom of expression. There was, without a doubt and in a vehement way, a desire to take the reins to change the world. There was even Ticha Penicheiro who’d crash, in a very welcome way, this dinner with friends - the connection came from Rizzo, but in the end, the connection to the applauded (former) basketball athlete who played for 15 seasons in the WNBA was from all of the girls - and there was also matching pyjamas, with a Vogue t-shirt and Intimissimi pants, so we wouldn't lose anyone in the corridors in-between rooms (by the way, nice cocktail, the Tinkerbell one). In addition to the uniform, there was also a bathrobe embroidered with Vogue and personalized with the initials of each one, provided by the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade, which would make the envy of a certain underwear brand that distributes robes to its angels, pardon, models. There was no comparison to a unique girls' night that started as a kind of pool soirée to evolve into the Vogue Pyjama Party that served as its hashtag. There, in the editor in chief's suite in a welcoming environment, the select group left their sleep outside the door to embrace the conversation of grown-ups and girls in equal measure. The most special records for posterity - right after what is engraved in the mind - was in instant Instax Mini 12 format, which even witnessed a rock'n'roll moment in which dishes broke. If it weren't for the Jenga game next to the broken china, you'd think they were all rock stars.
Except not: in this hand-picked group of celebrity women, there's little smugness and a lot of normalcy - whatever that might be. Maybe it's a mix of humbleness with pride on their work ethics and the desire to be an informed, cultured, fair, better person, always with room for new learning. The kind of person who, after a night that lasted until 6 am, with a few dropouts along the way (Raquel Strada and Ana Sofia Martins, you were missed in that last couple of hours of the morning - insert a heart-emoji here), more than deserved to go back to, the morning after, that privileged spot next to the pool at the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade for an invigorating and vitamin-filled breakfast. Not only full of solar vitamin D (thank you, warm front coming from North Africa), but also vitamin C, among others, courtesy of Natura Bissé. The brand, which ruled the face care session throughout the night of the event, took the opportunity to elucidate this circle of lucky 7 on why you look so good after a late night and an early call time. This C + C Vitamin line from the brand from Barcelona sought all the powers of this citric component - such as its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, deeply moisturizing capacity, as well as that of increasing the production of collagen in the skin - and encapsulated them all in macro mode in this daily skin care line that says hello to radiance and goodbye to signs of fatigue. To this end, the line has included all the essentials for a woman's (and man's) demanding daily life, whatever the context, taking into account all the aggressions of free radicals and oxidative stress that cause the premature aging that our complexion is exposed to day after day. That's why, in the range, you'll find a face and body scrub, an antioxidant and firming face mask, cleansing micellar water, a firming face serum in a dry oil texture (a bestseller and it's no coincidence that it is, says an insider's tip), firming face moisturizers in both cream and oil-free gel textures, an eye cream with a gel texture, a firming body cream and a revitalizing spray with a scent of summer citrus fruits aptly titled C+ C Vitamin Splash, as well as essentials for the beach season (a summer lotion with aloe vera and vitamins C+E that hydrates, soothes and enhances the tan, a moisturizing fluid with SPF25 that has a color effect adaptable to the skin tone, sunscreens in cream or dry oil or oil free with different SPFs - the 50 protection one is light and easy to apply - and even a gradual bronze fluid, the Self-tan Drops), and a selection of these were put to the test in a facial massage at Anantara Spa, in a morning ritual that passed in flying colors (it’s no wonder that the brand is also the brand of this spa at the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade).
In fact, some say Nayma is still resting in the Spa's relaxation room after her massage. And that Sónia Balacó went to get her bikini and canceled everything to enjoy the rest of the day by the pool (the rumor is not confirmed, but the desire was manifestly great). “I think I'm going to ask on set not to put make-up on, because my skin looks great like that”, shared Ana Sofia after leaving Anantara, as we prepared to say goodbye. In fact, there was no one who seemed to dare to cover the light that emanated from the skin with any make-up, despite all having an afternoon of work as their destination, with greater or lesser intensity, after checkout. One that was made late and already with nostalgia and with the promise - almost a blood oath - to repeat it soon. But first, a good night's sleep to recover from the fun. And in the meantime, who do we have to talk to so that tomorrow we can have that brunch + massage combo again?
