Still with the remnants of summer's lightness and a soft opening mode that's a bit - a lot - clumsy, hitting the ground running this re-entry will have to be done with a good dose of coffee. Let's hope for the encouragement of Corporate Core, that trend for the new season that puts office chic on a par with female empowerment and the avant-garde of new silhouettes. If Born Yesterday (1993) had been filmed in 2024, Melanie Griffith's office looks would have been much more daring in design: basics like blazers shorten and become jackets, pencil skirts gain volume, belted dresses guarantee professionalism and elegance, and suit pants gain architectural details for an office that is still a little hard to keep up with, but pays off in style.
