The Big Book of Trends

High Jewellery is a symbol of preciousness, it transcends fleeting trends and is eternalized in every diamond. With Chopard's new Ice Cube proposals, the maison shows us that without shadow there is no light, combining mesmerizing shine with the beauty of savoir-faire.

In the universes of Haute Couture and Haute Joaillerie, the savoir-faire is the heart that powers the beauty of each creation. A garment is a dream materialized in fabrics sewn and adorned by the best couturiers in the industry, and each jewel, in turn, is an expression of exceptional beauty brought to life by the hands of remarkable jewellers. At the forefront of this art is Chopard which, for more than a century and a half, has been presenting pieces as precious as the stones they use, combining tradition and innovation.

Now, the maison is taking the iconic Ice Cube collection to new heights, reinventing its design with an urban inspiration and minimalist aesthetic, accompanying the irreproachable savoir-faire and glamor that have been synonymous with Chopard for so many years. While maintaining the original philosophy - the art of creating a harmonious composition around the shape of a cube - this collection brings an innovative approach, with the cubes evoking buildings of different heights on a city skyline.

Ice Cube's minimalism shines through the art of safeguarding the essential - everything that is precious and lasting rather than ephemeral - and the new jewels - a choker and a bracelet - embody an aura of apparent simplicity that is eternally exquisite. Valuing everything that is pure, beautiful and enduring, the collection follows Bauhaus principles, with an aesthetic that uses only the essential elements: light, form and sustainable materials. Thus, this iteration of Ice Cube embodies an idea of geometric perfection that, at the same time, amplifies light in all its splendor.

It is precisely light that is the leitmotif of Ice Cube, and its use creates a hypnotic atmosphere while emphasizing the verticality and dynamism of the pieces, in a dialogue that also exalts craftsmanship and innovation. Just as light reflects off skyscrapers, pink, combined with the heights of the cubes and the sparkle of diamonds, references the skyline of a metropolis during golden hour, and the city woman is the ultimate inspirational muse. In the campaign - photographed by Charlotte Wales - it is supermodel Bella Hadid who embodies this spirit with a captivating magnetic appeal. Guided by the motto “no shade, no light”, the photographer's lens fuses Hadid's beauty with the atmosphere around her, among games of contrasts. In the images, the symbiosis between the pieces and their wearers is clear, expressing a multifaceted aura - a feat that the maison's High Jewelry ateliers have long mastered.

And it's not just aesthetics and the power of light that drive this collection: ethical concerns - which have been at the forefront of Chopard's agenda for several years now - also guide its craftsmanship. The new creations are made from ethically sourced 18-carat rose gold, showing that the materials that give life to this collection shine not only because of their preciousness, but also because of the care that goes into each creation.
