What's next? Issue - Jewelry Supplement
In a play of volumes and textures, combines is a term coined by American artist Robert Rauschenberg to designate the assemblage creations he made between 1954 and 1964.
Characterized by the mixture, on the same plane, of two-dimensional elements (such as photographs, drawings or paintings) with three-dimensional elements taken from the everyday environment (from cushions, bottles or cans to windows, mirrors or soft toys), then added to the composition, the final work is positioned between painting and culture, invading not only the viewer's space, but also often interacting with the surrounding space, implying in a certain way the participation of the subjects present. In the pages that follow, the alliance between the different make-up materials and the structural and voluminous design of the jewelry brings to this editorial this philosophy of the combinations for a perfect pairing.
