Basket case

Jane Birkin popularized it, but its origins date back to the Algarve: although there are similar models in other Mediterranean countries - made from similar materials - the design and details are typical of the region. This basket, made of cane, became known in the north of the country as the “octopus basket”, because it was used to transport the mollusk that came from the Algarve. Now it's going around the world in multiple interpretations, in the hands of all fashionistas.
