It is not a fairy tale, but this fable also has a protagonist who is rewarded for her hard work, a Cinderella of the animal ecosystem who has more in common with humans than we sometimes want to believe. That is why the princess in our story does not wear crystal shoes because she does not need them as an intrepid explorer in her field of myrmecology, that is, the study of ants. A task that is only tiny in appearance: both species fight, build, protect, and share tasks in society. And perhaps, as we let ourselves be bewitched by these fascinating creatures, we will become a little bit like the little ants of everyday life, creating communities and battling in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, adopting the posture of that little being. Does life imitate ant? Photography by Javier Castán. Styling by Alicia Padrón.
