George as in George Underwood, the artist and illustrator who gained notoriety for the album covers he immortalized with his design, in the 70s, for bands and musicians such as T. Rex, The Fixx and, in particular, David Bowie.
In such a way that it’s Underwood who did the album covers for the British artist's work Hunky Dory and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, giving them his fantastic and dark aesthetic. In fact, Underwood and Bowie were together in the band George and the Dragons, which was short-lived because George punched David in the left eye (the reason for the argument was a girl they both liked), paralyzing his pupil (he was wearing a ring, at the time of the punch), and becoming responsible for Bowie's distinctive gaze from then on. It’s not for this particular episode that the following pages pay tribute to him, but it is a fun fact that creates even more curiosity around the artist that is George.
