How do the Ukrainian people feel and what butterfly effect has the war had on the way they behave, live and act since the Russian invasion began? Is it fear that haunts you? Loss, anxiety, anger, sadness, guilt…?

Or rather hope and boldness or even an amalgamation of them all in a spiral of emotions that is impossible to describe and unbearable to live through? Perhaps all these and even other feelings will resonate with any Ukrainian and the artistic project that follows wanted to put through images what cannot be illustrated, only experienced. This glimpse into the heart and challenges that each individual has and has had to face throughout the war, comes to us from a privileged point of view, from someone who was in the eye of the hurricane and who decided to stay in their country, however devastating. and fatal it could be. To flap one’s wings to fight. To help. To survive. To stay. Creative direction and styling Olesia Romanova. Photography by Lesha Lich.
