Perhaps we are not all superstitious concerning bad luck clichés – the black cat, the number 13, spirits with unfinished business that inhabit our world… – but maybe we all have, with greater or lesser awareness, a ritual for good luck, an amulet piece, a talisman we believe in before that lucky fate finally happens.

That amulet, talisman or rite that, harmless to the naked eye, only brings us luck and wards off the evil eye, only gains significance for us, only awakens faith in us. We put the spotlight on the magic we deposit in that omen, talisman or ritual, as a light that reflects our most positive desires. And that omen, talisman or ritual… is us. Photography Linda Leitner.
