Good girls go to heaven, the others go everywhere: even to prom, where they are the best dressed. Even when they decide to wear red leather trousers.

This year, BIMBA Y LOLA's festive season is inspired by one of the most electrifying moments of any human being's adolescence: prom. Tables with decorations, eggnog, semi-alcoholic drinks, and that buzz that turns a high school gym into a discotheque about to implode. On this magical night, anything can happen. It's the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. The music, the friends, the lights, everything will be ultra-special. And unforgettable. It was with this in mind that BIMBA Y LOLA prepared its Christmas campaign, starring New York singer-songwriter Caroline Polachek, one of the most important pop artists on the scene today. Polachek, who rose to fame with the single Bunny is a Rider, released in 2021, is considered one of the most idiosyncratic artists of the moment. Her chameleonic and original style, along with her sound, an abstract and incisive pop, is the perfect contrast to the "well-behaved girl" ideal expected of a prom queen. Instead of pink satin dresses with flared sleeves, this anti-heroine favors more unexpected tones, such as black or red, and bolder materials, such as leather. Instead of the innocence associated with prom idols, Polachek's character is a mixture of rebellion and defiance - as if she were a visitor from the future to a place that no longer exists. To help compose this scenario, BIMBA Y LOLA once again called on artist and photographer Petra Collins, a regular collaborator with the Spanish brand.

In addition to Caroline Polachek, a star in her own right, this campaign presents the new key piece of the season: the HOBO POCKET BAG with Swarovski crystals, with a double carry handle, leather shoulder strap and two front pockets, illuminated by a mantle of classic, heart-shaped Swarovski crystals. Made from leather and in size XS, it is available in six colors: black, red, burgundy, bone white, moss and pear green. The collection is completed with a selection of dresses that also feature the heart as an aesthetic motif: fringes, asymmetric straps, twisted sleeves, capes, draped necklines and, of course, the perfect slip dress. The icing on the cake is a (red!) leather outfit consisting of a maxi top with a heart-shaped brooch and some trousers, decorated with metallic eyelets - if this look doesn't stop traffic, nothing will. No outfit is complete without accessories, so there's plenty of jewelry on offer, from colorful heart-shaped stones to oversized silver stars. Amulets with lots of light to shine on your next holiday. Or the next time you win the title of "prom queen".
