Because it is where we begin. From scratch. Or not. Not always does one begin from scratch.
Because it is where we begin. From scratch. Or not. Not always does one begin from scratch.
Sometimes, one (re)starts from a past rich in memories, good and bad; from a canvas not totally white but rather one that has no spaces left to fill. A canvas that has numerous shades, some as vibrant as neons, others as black as the darkness. But even the canvas that accumulates watercolours from an emotional baggage invisible at first sight, despite being felt at every glance, can be hidden under a new layer of blank, ready to face new strokes. Because even if you don’t begin from scratch, you can begin afresh. Or with a fresh face. Photography by Kourosh Sotoodeh. Makeup by Deanna Melluso.
